The Dark Knight: Ten Years of Being a Superhero Masterpiece

We're continuing our series on films from 2008 with The Dark Knight, a comic book movie so good that no other film after it in its genre has been able to compete. Heath Ledger's chilling performance is unforgettable and redefined The Joker, the film was an impressive technical achievement because of the number of practical effects, and the writing transformed "comic book characters", usually an epithet meaning shallowly written, into complex people in desperate times. Enjoy!
